Teresa L. Hattfield, Superior, affordable, legal representation

Teresa L Hatfield
Teresa Lucia Fiore Hatfield was born in Westchester County, New York on May 27, 1980. She graduated Cum Laude from the Honors Program at Loyola University New Orleans with an undergraduate degree in English Literature and a minor in Spanish in 2002. Ms. Hatfield earned her Juris Doctorate degree and a Bachelor of Civil Law at Louisiana State University Law Center in 2005.

Throughout law school, Ms. Hatfield actively participated in clinical workshops, such as the Juvenile Representation Workshop, to obtain practical courtroom experience. Ms. Hatfield was also a finalist in the L.S.U Law School Criminal Flory Trials.

After passing the Louisiana State Bar, Ms. Hatfield began her legal career as an associate at Wray & Pierce, L.L.P., a law firm which focuses almost exclusively on construction litigation and providing legal services to the construction industry. At Wray & Pierce, L.L.P., Ms. Hatfield handled rigorous litigation cases, several from start to finish, and represented general contractors and subcontractors for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to: non-payment claims, delay claims, defect litigation, Public Bid Law disputes, and Private Works Act disputes, among other legal needs. Ms. Hatfield has experience in negotiating and litigating claims, whether such claims are heard in the courtroom, in mediation, or in arbitration.

In 2009 Ms. Hatfield served a term as the President of the Baton Rouge Association of Women Attorneys and has been an active member in the organization since 2005. She served as Vice President of the Baton Rouge Association of Women Attorneys for the 2007-2008 year, and Secretary for the 2006-2007 year. This January, on behalf of the Baton Rouge Association of Women Attorneys, Ms. Hatfield attended the Louisiana State Bar Association leaders luncheon, which allowed Ms. Hatfield to converse with other local and specialty bar leaders, learn the challenges facing local bar associations, and to brainstorm regarding how to effectively overcome those challenges.

Ms. Hatfield occasionally provides pro-bono work for the Baton Rouge Bar Association Volunteer Committee, and participates in activities such as the Annual Food Drive, and Annual Easter Eggstravaganza.

In 2009, Teresa Hatfield chose to deliver affordable legal services to the greater Baton Rouge area and began a general practice. Ms. Hatfield also speaks fluent Spanish and is reaching out to offer legal services to the Hispanic community. Ms. Hatfield believes that excellent attorney client communication, careful legal research, a fresh, innovative perspective on current legal issues, accompanied by making legal representation affordable, will yield the most positive results for the client, and will increase the likelihood of repeat business and referrals. In most cases, fees are tailored to meet the needs of the individual client so that each client who truly wants quality representation can afford it. At the Hatfield Law Office, Teresa Hatfield will spend crucial time on your case and will perform all the work necessary to ensure you have affordable, superior, legal representation.
